This course is designed to improve athletic performance through plyometric in an aquatic environment to minimize impact to the body. This class will focus on aquatic movements to increase power, speed, and flexibility.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Students will demonstrate appropriate safety practices
  • Students will develop the skills needed to monitor various energy zones during physical activity
  • Students will improve/maintain their level of cardiovascular fitness throughout the semester
  • Students will measure resting heart rates, recovery heart rates, and calculate their target heart rates at the different energy zones
