Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate appropriate safety practices
  • Improvement in basic self defense theory, basic striking, kicking skills and basic conditioning exercises

V. Topical Outline (Course Content)

The student should expect to achieve an increase in awareness of self-defense. They will be able to demonstrate 5 basic kicks, 5 basic hand strikes, and 5 basic self defense applications. They will learn basic targets. Be evaluated on primary targets. They will be exposed to history of the martial arts. Students will learn brief history of the art
