III. Catalog Course Description

Designed for the beginning to the advanced fitness participant. This high intensity course is designed for students who want to improve their physical fitness through high intense cardio and core training. This course will catalyze on the fit pre-post testing and heart-rate monitors throughout the class.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Students will demonstrate appropriate safety practices
  • Apply wellness knowledge and practice positive behavior growth using a minimum of three dimensions of wellness (Emotional, Environmental, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Financial)-Pick at least 3
  • Understand the concept of wellness and be able to recognize the long term benefits of maintaining a high level of wellness for living in today’s world
  • Students will understand and apply the Physical dimension of wellness through daily workouts and training plans
  • Students will understand and apply the Intellectual dimension of wellness through creation of a personalized training plan, including rest and recover
  • Students will understand and apply the Social dimension of wellness through group training
