This is course provides instruction and participation in the techniques and skills of basketball. It is designed for the general public, employees & students. This course may be repeated once.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Students will demonstrate appropriate safety practices
- Students will demonstrate improvement in the basic fundamentals of basketball
- Students will understand and apply team strategies in offense and defense
V. Topical Outline (Course Content)
This class will discuss and practice the major concepts and skills of basketball including: dribbling, shooting, passing and spacing on the floor.
A Daily Workout includes a 5-10 minute warm-up, 5-10 minutes technique instruction, 20-30 minutes of playing basketball and or drill work, and the last 5 minutes to cool down.
