Leadership Minor

The Leadership Minor is open to all undergraduate students but is a requirement of the 3+1 Master of Organizational Leadership program. Students planning to enroll in the 3+1 program should take the 5000-level Leadership course options during their senior year, after acceptance into the program.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this minor, students will be able to:

  1. Understand leadership competencies, theories and frameworks to further self-awareness, values, and purpose;
  2. Gain the capacity to exercise leadership to progress on personal, organizational, or community issues;
  3. Identify and develop personal strengths to develop better professional leadership skills;
  4. Appreciate the dynamic interactions of personal characteristics, and interpersonal influence, for effective organizational leader and follower behaviors; and
  5. Integrate practical literacy to develop leadership competencies, skills, and abilities.
