Pre-Engineering Dual Degree Major (B.A.)
The Pre-Engineering Dual Degree Major is designed for students interested in combining a liberal arts experience with an engineering education. Students complete the College of Idaho major requirements and then transfer to one of our partner schools. Upon completion of the dual degree program at both The College of Idaho and a partner school, students will earn two degrees: a B.A. in Pre-Engineering Dual Degree and a B.S. in Engineering from the partner school. This program typically takes five years to complete: three years at The College of Idaho and two years at the engineering school.
It should be noted that students may major in any field and complete the dual-degree option at an affiliated school as long as they have taken the required courses. This major makes it easier for students to identify the correct courses for the most popular engineering fields. Please consult with a dual-degree advisor to learn more about the process.
