Upon successful completion of this major, students will be able to:

  2. Apply scientific reasoning to develop, test, and interpret environmental questions;
  3. Situate environmental and scientific understanding in historical and cultural contexts;

  5. Develop hypotheses or questions toward framing environmental problems, using analysis, synthesis, and imagination as tools; and
  6. Articulate improved understanding of an environmental problem or practice, based on engagement with community partners or other members of the general public.
