III. Catalog Course Description
Students will learn drawer styles, types, and what material to use. Students will be shown how to measure for drawer parts and how to learn drawer design, function, and construction. Students will be taught how to demonstrate their abilities by tests, drawer design, and construction of a drawer. Students are taught all drawer guide systems and uses.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- The Course objective is to have all students pass the written and performance tests. This will be assessed through tests whether passed or not. Performance of uses of machinery through Machinery check-off list.
- Outcomes will be achieved through course evaluations on homework assignments, and video reports.
- Completion of all tasks assigned.
- Completion of group projects and a final evaluation will be given on the class and the student and instructor when course is completed. Then we can assess the entire class to make changes and or improvements to this education in construction.

Students will learn drawer styles, types, and what materials to use. They will be shown how to measure for drawer parts and learn drawer design, function, and construction. Students will be taught how to machine, assemble, and install to cabinets and furniture. Students will demonstrate their abilities by tests, drawer designs, and construction and installation of various kinds and types of drawers. All types of drawer guide systems will be taught and shown. Measurements of drawers, joinery sizes to complete a correct machined parts list will be taught. (Course focus)
To understand what is involved in measuring, machining and assembling of drawers. Installation and adjusting of drawers and drawer hardware.

Joinery with Tage Frid As Well as chapters from finish books from different sources provided by instructor. Library resource books and the internet. Required program tools as well as writing materials and tape measure. Safety equipment of your own. (Mask gloves, protective clothing or throw-away clothing.
