- Increase in their ability to make layouts and patterns
- Learn applied mathematics, suited to the woodworking industry
- Understand and have knowledge of kitchen triangle theory
- Learn several different face framing layout and construction methods
- Learn teamwork on group projects to learn to depend on one another for completion of work
