This course will provide students with the information needed to install finished cabinets and design, build and install countertops for their cabinetmaking projects. Students will be taught construction applications that pertain to the woodworking industry.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Understand how to construct and remodel residential structural framing
- Craft and install moldings, such as crown, base, casing, and chair railing onto walls and ceilings in buildings
- Understand and practice cabinet installation techniques
- Install cabinets, pre-built and custom onsite built-ins
- Learn how to design, build and install various countertops
