Course Number: OT 5302 Semester Hours: Four (4) Limits on Enrollment: 15 Prerequisites: OT 2400, Admission to the Master's program in Occupational Therapy Required for: Occupational Therapy Majors in the Master's Program CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This course examines the human development of performance abilities in the areas of occupation (activities of daily living, education, work, play/leisur and social participation) from birth to senescence. Analysis of underlying performance skills and patterns, context, activity demands and client factors as they contribute to occupational performance. The selection of media to assist in growth and development in areas of childhood and performance implementation of therapeutic media in occupational therapy appropriate to adult occupations, the use of activity analysis and snthesis, the role of cultural influences in media selection and the roles of the therapist in the intervention will be studied.
