MATH1051 COLLEGE ALGEBRA

Review of elementary algebra, exponents, radicals. Solutions of linear, quadractic, rational and absolute value equations and and inequalities. Introduction to functions and the graphing of linear, polynomial and rational functions. Solutions of linear and nonlinear systems of equations. Prerequisite: Two years of secondary school algebra, or the equivalent, and a qualifying score on the placement examination. Developmental approved petition is required. Credit will not be granted for both MATH 1051 and MATH 1052. CREDIT WILL NOT BE GRANTED FOR BOTH MATH 1051 AND MATH 1000.
