PHI-203 Introduction to Ethics

What is the morally right thing to do? Is there an objective answer to this? These are the central questions of ethics and metaethics, respectively. In this course we tackle both, with most of our time spent on ethics. We will study different answers to these and related questions. We also confront ethical dilemmas of contemporary interest. Sample topics here might include: What should I do about world poverty? Is abortion morally permissible? How should we act in wars involving civilians?
