Issue Resolution Process
A three-person committee, consisting of the Associate Vice President for Human Resources, the Vice President for Student Affairs, and either the Provost or a dean or chair will receive the complaint. The student filing the complaint will be interviewed, as will the person against whom the complaint is filed. Further, the committee will receive any relevant documentation or other evidence, and may interview witnesses who can provide eye-witness information. After all interviews are completed and evidence reviewed, the committee will either determine a resolution, or will send the issue on to either the staff or faculty resolution process. There is no time-limit on filing a complaint with this committee, but once filed, the committee will endeavor to complete their process within 30 days. There is no appeal for the decisions reached as a result of this process.
