PAS 5405 DIAGNOSTIC METHODS IV
Diagnostic Methods IV builds upon principles established in Diagnostic Methods I–III and focuses on evidence-based diagnostic evaluation across nephrologic, genitourinary, reproductive, and pediatric presentations. The course emphasizes appropriate selection of laboratory tests, imaging studies, and specialized diagnostics; accurate interpretation of age-, pregnancy-, and disease-specific findings; and integration of results with clinical data to refine differential diagnoses across the lifespan. Through interactive instruction, case-based analysis, and structured data-interpretation activities, students develop skills in diagnostic stewardship, risk–benefit assessment, and management of diagnostic uncertainty. The course also reinforces clear documentation and professional communication of diagnostic reasoning and follow-up recommendations to patients and healthcare teams in preparation for supervised clinical practice.
