PAS 5307 PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE III

Professional Practice III serves as a capstone course designed to prepare students for transition into supervised clinical practice through advanced development of professional communication, clinical integration, systems-based care, and quality improvement competencies. Building upon prior professional practice coursework, students refine skills in patient-centered communication, lifespan-oriented care, telehealth delivery, healthcare systems navigation, and regulatory compliance. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, risk management, performance evaluation, and reflective practice. Through case-based learning, simulation activities, quality improvement projects, and professional portfolio development, the course prepares students for clinical rotations, interprofessional collaboration, and entry-level practice as physician assistants.
