PAS 5306 CLINICAL SKILLS III

Clinical Skills III builds upon advanced patient care competencies developed in Clinical Skills I and II, emphasizing comprehensive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed history-taking, system-focused physical examination, and clinical reasoning for endocrine, neurologic, musculoskeletal/rheumatologic, hematologic, and palliative care presentations. Through didactic instruction, skills laboratories, simulation, and standardized patient encounters, students refine advanced assessment techniques, functional and neurologic evaluation, procedural competency, longitudinal care planning, and professional communication. The course integrates evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and interprofessional collaboration to prepare students for increasing clinical responsibility, complex patient management, and successful transition into supervised clinical practice.
