PAS5120 PA PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE THREE

This is the third course in the series designed to address the professional, ethical, social and practical aspects of physician assistant practice with an emphasis on continued professional growth and development of the physician assistant student. Activities throughout the course enable the student to prepare to transition into the cinical education phase of the program and respond to the clinical environment as a knowledgeable, skillful and professional physician assistant student. Students will assess their current knowledge, skills and behavior and outline plans for addressing areas needing improvement throughout the clinical year and ways to assess their goals. Bias concerns related to the delivery of health care and health and wellness issues of the healthcare provider are discussed. Students explore the occupational concerns of healthcare providers and identify resources to help prevent or mitigate their impact.
