MUS1560 CLASS WOODWINDS

Learning to play one or more woodwind instruments and the method of teaching the woodwind instrument s. The rudiments of playing woodwind instruments will be stressed together with an overview of the literature and history of woodwind instruments. Primary emphasis will be placed on learning to play the flute, clarinet, and saxophone with an introduction to double reed instruments. Prerequisites: Music Major or Permission of Instructor Credit change from 0.5 to 1.0 Fall 2001 semester
