PED4690 STUDENT TEACHING-PHYSICAL EDUC

A 16-week experience in full time teaching, 8 weeks each in a public elementary and secondary school, under the direction of a college supervisor and a cooperating teacher and three on campus seminars. Prerequisites: HED ll00, PED l500, PED l800, BIO 2402 PED 2500, PED 3505 or PED 3510,PED 3610, PED 3611, ED 3400, PSY 2100. 10 semester hours of activities, completion of 90 hours, 2.5 cum in major courses, 65 hour group work experience, physical examination, evidence of active interest in departments and college activities. For those seeking dual certification of Health & Physical Education, additional prerequisites include HED 3533 Health electives. Course credit changed to 9.00 as of 07/14/09
