PAS5110 PA PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE TWO
This course is the second in the series designed to address the professional, ethical, social and practical aspects of physician assistant practice. Using a team-based format to facilitate learning, the course enables students to develop collaborative and leadership skills while engaging in the learning process. The first unit introduces the student to medial ethics. A practical approach to resolving ethical issues in healthcare is utilized with discussions of case based scenarios. Activities with students in other health professions programs provide the physician assistant students with a global perspective of ethics in healthcare. The second unit in the course provides the student with an overview of the United States health care system, including health care policies and health care coverage options.
