BIOS3250 MEDICINAL BOTANY

Explores the uses of plants as medicine, ranging from traditional indigenous approaches to modern western pharmaceuticals. The biology and use of medicinal plants for treating everything from the common cold to cancer investigated. Field trips include in instruction. This is a Major Elective for Biology students in School of Environmental and Life Sciences. Three hours of instruction per week. Prerequisites: BIOS 2201 or Permission of Instructor.
