BIO2400 GENES, ORGANISMS, POPULATIONS

An introduction to fundamental concepts of biologi cal organization, with emphasis on the genetic, organismal and population levels. Emphasis is plac ed on hierarchical organization, the integration of structure and function, and evolution as unifyi ng principles of biology. The course builds on BIO 2200 to form a foundation for the biology major. 3 hr. lec./3 hr. lab. Prerequisites:Bio 2200, Chem 1083, Math 1054 and GE 2021 or permission of instructor
