BIO4435 BEHAVIORAL ECOLOGY

Course Number: Bio 4435 Credit Hour: 3 Pre-Req: Bio 3400 or Bio 3614 or permission of instructor Limitation on Enrollment: 24 Description: An introduction to the behavior of animals in natural settings, with emphasis on the ecological and evolutionalry levels of the organization. Topics include communication, foraging, defense, mating systems, social biology, and research methodology. Lectures stresses optimality models, phylogenetic analysis, and hypthesis testing.
