EDU-471 Instructional Methods and Assessment

An introduction to methods of teaching in K-12 settings. The course will focus on understanding, designing, and implementing a classroom management plan, lesson planning and alignment with core standards, integrating literacy instruction and culturally responsive pedagogy across content areas, learning various teaching and lesson approaches, formative and summative assessment strategies, and reflecting on teaching and students’ learning to improve future instruction.
