Counseling and Clinical Psychology Specialization

The Counseling and Clinical Psychology Specialization prepares highly motivated students for post-baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral training in preparation for counseling and clinical psychology careers.

Requirements

18-20 credits

All courses for this specialization must be completed with a grade of C or better. Some courses will require the completion of prerequisite coursework.

Required Major

 This specialization requires completing the requirements for the Psychology Major or the Psychological Sciences Major.

Advanced Counseling and Clinical Psychology (10-12 credits)

Complete 10-12 credits of advanced courses in counseling and clinical psychology:

At least two credits of internship are required. Students should consult with their psychology advisor and the pre-professional advisor to plan an internship site broadly related to counseling and clinical psychology.
