This course demonstrates advanced applications in cabinetmaking and furniture construction and layout. Students will learn finish carpentry applications as well as how to design and assemble drawers, pullouts, tip outs and other special applications to cabinetmaking.

This course demonstrates advanced applications in cabinetmaking and furniture construction and layout. Students will learn finish carpentry applications as well as how to design and assemble drawers, pullouts, tip outs and other special applications to cabinetmaking.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Gain an advanced understanding of the basics of drawer construction, design, installation and onsite construction procedures
- Be able to show by projects and essays that students have and can display knowledge of drawer construction techniques
- Have the ability to build drawers for projects for kitchen cabinets and furniture projects as well as samples
- Know and understand repair techniques and adjustments of drawers and drawer systems
- Learn teamwork and leadership within group projects
