SPAN-3301 Spanish for Hlth Care & Hlth Humanities
(TEXTS & CONTEXTS, ENGAGING DIFFERENCE, COMMUNITY-ENGAGED LEARNING) This course studies Spanish for health and mental health professions through engagement with community health and/or mental health organizations, and through an introduction to the health humanities in the Spanish-speaking world. Using cultural production such as literature, film, and art, students consider diverse narratives that represent the shifting historical contexts of experience, medical practice, and policy.
