(Variable hours 2-0 to 5-0.) This course may be repeated for credit if course content changes. Graded on Pass/Fail basis only.
This course helps students develop a thesis proposal. To develop a thesis proposal, a student needs to identify a thesis topic and work with an advisory team—including a thesis advisor and a second reader—to lay out research questions and a plan to answer those questions. In many cases a student also works with a research sponsor to make sure the proposed thesis research addresses a relevant real-world problem and has the potential to improve operational efficiency in practice.
