FIN 5315 FINANCIAL RISK MANAGEMENT

This course is designed to provide students with the expertise to steer through financial markets and sustainable financial operations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks. The main emphasis of the course will be on the concepts and applications of financial derivatives, which are essential for hedging, speculation, and management of financial risks in today’s business world. Topics include futures and forward contracts, arbitrage, options, Swaps transactions, binomial and Black-Scholes pricing models, and credit default swaps (CDS), among others. This course requires the basics of corporate finance and investment analysis.
