FIN 5310 RISK MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS

This course is designed to equip students with the fundamental tools and techniques used in identifying, measuring, and analyzing risks in business organizations. The focus will be on the basics of risk measurement and analytics instead of risk mitigation. Topics may include probability theory and distributions, value at risk, stress testing, scenario analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, operational risk modeling approaches, and data-driven decision-making, among others. A sound background in mathematics and statistics, and knowledge of Excel would be an advantage.
