Students learn to perform and understand music with Hispanic and Latino origins, including Cumbia, Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Samba, and Bossa Nova. The ensemble focuses on classic repertoire, developing students' fluency in syncopated rhythms from these genres, emulating musical style, and preparation for performance.
