HORT 200 Horticulture Seminar

Seminar allows students to attend a number of horticulture related meetings and activities throughout the semester on their own schedule and report on their findings. By attending several functions students experience a variety of different opportunities and broaden their understanding and network among horticulturists and the like.

III. Catalog Course Description

Seminar allows students to attend a number of horticulture related meetings and activities throughout the semester on their own schedule and report on their findings. By attending several functions students experience a variety of different opportunities and broaden their understanding and network among horticulturists and the like.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Report on learning outcomes from attendance at different forums, events or meetings
  • Document detailed information attained from conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.   
  • Present orally, information obtained through meeting attendance.
  • Accurately Track and document time spent ondifferent activities and meetings.
  • Identify and explain areas of horticulture not currently instructed at CSI (floral design, aquaponics, silviculture, viticulture, Oenology, phytoremediation, etc).

Attend a minimum of 30 hours of meetings, seminars, conferences, workshops or webinars. Report what was learned from each activity
