BIOL-3317 Stream Ecology
This course examines the ecology of aquatic ecosystems with an emphasis on the physical, chemical, and biological components of streams and rivers. The course also describes contemporary theories in stream ecology as outlined in the primary scientific literature. Students will learn methods appropriate for conducting stream research and will be expected to complete a field-based research project. Class includes both lecture and laboratory. Some extended field trips may be offered. Formerly BIO-317.
