BIOL-3347 Field Biology
(STUDY AWAY) This course examines the natural history of tropical and subtropical ecosystems (coral reefs, mangroves, rivers, rainforests, deserts) with an emphasis on the living components of each system. The course also includes a significant research component and requires students to design and complete a field-based research project with the goal of presenting their work at a local, regional or national science conference. Course locations include, but are not limited to, Belize, Baja, and Australia. Students are selected based upon a competitive application process and completed prerequisite course work.
