Overview
The College of Idaho’s Sport Administration Graduate Certificate is a post-baccalaureate certificate program designed to elevate students’ careers in the world of athletics and recreation. Students’ transformative experience through this certificate program enriches their management, marketing, leadership and sports law and ethics skills. Successful completion of the program will provide a boost to a student’s professional portfolio within the dynamic sports industry or allow the student to seamlessly transition into pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration or management.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the College’s Sport Administration Graduate Certificate, students will be able to:
- Apply a diverse set of essential principles and skills, including skills in business, finance, and marketing that would be necessary in sport administration;
- Utilize critical thinking skills in analyzing sport management issues in managerial planning and decision making;
- Demonstrate an understanding of ethics as they apply to sport; and
- Develop professional skills through classroom learning and experiential learning in internships with added applied responsibilities.
