MGS 3013 ENTREPRENEURSHIP
COURSE NO: MGS 3013 SEMESTER HOURS: 3 Prerequisite: MGS 2030 Principles of Management and MKT 2500 Principles of Marketing. ENROLLMENT LIMIT: 30 Required course for Management of Organizations Option; Elective for other Management options, Free Elective for other majors. The purpose of this course is to empower students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources to be an entrepreneur during their careers in a challenging economic environment. This course will review topics including advantages and disadvantages of entrepreneurship, identification of ideas for new start-up opportunities, forms of business ownership and franchising, strategic management of financial and human resources, marketing and production plans, and other topics.
