THEA-4015 Advanced Acting

This course is designed for the advanced theatre student to explore character and scene study in plays from several different genres. Students will discuss, analyze, and act in scenes and a monologue from challenging contemporary and period works. One goal of the course will be to develop the versatility of the actor to effectively perform confidently in plays from different genres and periods and to know how to begin working on such plays. The student should have the basic skills for script analysis and for pursuing action in scenes and will now focus on finding nuances that bring greater depth to the work.
