(SELF & SOCIETY, ENGAGING DIFFERENCE) Case studies comparing regime types and political revolutions. Includes examination of presidential and parliamentary democracies, liberal and social democracies, and multiple types of authoritarian regimes such as communism, fascism, totalitarianism, and theocracy. Cases countries include the UK, Nigeria, Iran, Cambodia, and Norway, among others. Open to all students. Formerly POE-218.
