ENV-201 Knowing Birds

In this course, we study the lives, science, and cultural meanings of birds. Through field studies, migration and population databases, and scientific, historical, and anthropological literature, we examine birds locally and globally. The course culminates in an individual, research-based project. Students will practice the methods of interdisciplinary environmental studies and engage in analytical reading, formal writing, research techniques, and data analysis.

This is a Community-Engaged Learning course and includes work with a community partner to address a community-identified problem, challenge, or need.
