CHEM-1011 General Chemistry I
(SCIENTIFIC REASONING LAB, SCIENCE & SOCIETY) An exploration of the field of chemistry designed for all natural science majors. Emphasis is placed on atomic and molecular structure, chemical periodicity, stoichiometry, properties of matter, and thermochemistry. Class includes both lecture and lab. This course is generally not suitable for non-science majors unless they have credit for CHEM-1000 or high school chemistry or a combination of high school algebra and a physical science. Formerly CHE-141.
