FREN120 French Linguistics

Major topics in contemporary French linguistics, covering both formal and social properties of French. Descriptive and theoretical study of phonetics and phonology, lexicon, morphology, syntax, sociolinguistic variation, status of regional and minority languages, and language planning. Taught in French.
