NURS 5920 RESEARCH AND EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE II

Emphasis of this course is on planning and developing practice changes, creating outcome measures, and identifying additional gaps in nursing knowledge. The course will address issues associated with leading practice changes to include ethics, policies, quality and safety measures, and understanding the principles of patient-centered care and population health. Interprofessional perspectives and other resources will guide the clinical decision-making process that is integral to improving patient, population and organizational outcomes. Evidence-based practice (EBP) processes are explored, which will culminate into the creation of a ready-to-implement EBP project. Critical appraisal of the literature developed in NURS 5900 will form the basis for the EBP project. All MSN courses must be completed prior to taking this course.
