NURS 5510 SCHOOL NURSING PRACTICUM
The University-supervised practicum provides the student with opportunities to apply the Key Principles of the NASN's 21 Century School Nursing Framework in approved primary and secondary school settings, including opportunities to participate in the delivery of state-mandated school health services. Course includes a total of 60 hours of clinical practice. (NURS 3010 and NURS 3200 or equivalent transfer courses, NURS 5501, NURS 5502, current CPR/AED certification, current individual malpractice insurance and clinical clearance including flu vaccination. Students must apply for clinical placement at least 4 weeks prior to course registration).
