STME 2000 MATHEMATICAL & COMPUTATIONAL METHODS OF SCIENCE I

This is a first semester course, complemented by laboratory course STME 2099. Introduction to Calculus, scientific modeling, MATLAB programming, data structures and algorithms. The course gives an introduction to numerical differentiation and numerical solutions to systems of ordinary differential equations, with emphasis on the physical interpretation of the derivative. Formulation of simple problems taken from chemistry, biology and physics. Type of Course: General Education Science Distribution Course. Required Course NJCSTM Programs
