BIO 4704 MOLECULAR BIOLOGY OF GENES
Molecular biology of genetic inheritance and molec ular evolutionary genetics, with an emphasis on recent advances. Topics include DNA and chromatin strcuture and function, regulation of gene express ion and related functions, mutation, gene duplicat ion, patterns of genetic divergence and genealogic al reconstruction. Prerequisites: Biology 3704 and one semester of Organic Chemistry, or permission of instructor.
