BIO 4901 HON THESIS BIO I

HONORS THESIS IN BIOLOGY II-RESEARCH AND PRESENTATION Course Number: BIO 4901 Credit Hours: Three (3) Prerequisites/Special Permission: 20 Credit hours of Biology and acceptance into the Biology Honors program/permission of Biology Honors advisor. BIO 4901 is the pre- requisite for BIO 4902 Limitations on Enrollment: Based on Availlable faculty (5) CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Qualified undergraduate biology majors will gain an appreciation of how biological knowledge is acquired by participating in an independent laboratory or field research project under the guidance of a faculty member to a depth not attainable through regular class work. This course and BIO 4902 are taken as a chronological series (BIO 4901 must precede BIO 4902). Prerequisite: Open to students who have fulfilled 20 BIO credit hours, have been admitted into the Biology Honors Program, and have permission of Honors faculty advisor.
