III. Catalog Course Description
This course includes a general study of electrostatics, D.C. circuitry, capacitance, magnetism, induced EMF, simple A.C. circuits, geometrical and physical optics, special relativity, and modern physics.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Apply foundational knowledge and models of electrostatics, D.C. circuitry, capacitance, magnetism, induced EMF, simple A.C. circuits, geometrical and physical optics, special relativity, and modern physics to analyze and/or predict phenomena.
- Interpret and communicate scientific information via written, spoken, and/or visual representations.
- Describe the relevance of the principles of electrostatics, D.C. circuitry, capacitance, magnetism, induced EMF, simple A.C. circuits, geometrical and physical optics, special relativity, and modern physics to the human experience.
- Form and test a hypothesis in the laboratory using appropriate tools and techniques for data collection and/or analysis.
