This course is designed to follow the criteria set forth by the Idaho State Board of Dentistry in completing the Dental Assisting Expanded Functions requirements for the state of Idaho.

• Discuss the methods/steps used in fabricating provisional crowns
• Describe the types of materials used in the fabrication and placement of both intra and extra oral provisional restorations
• List the types of intra and extra oral restorations
• Discuss why provisional restorations are placed
• List the advantages and disadvantages of each type of provisional crowns
