Instructor will cover the components and system analysis for heavy duty brake systems including air brakes, hydraulic brakes and electric over hydraulic brakes.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- demonstrate the proper identification of brake components and understanding of brake systems and ABS
- demonstrate proper safety standards and in handling the storage and disposal of chemicals and materials in accordance to federal safety and environmental standards
- properly diagnose brake failure and R&R brake components
- practice and follow all safety procedures and demonstrate shop cleanliness while working on preventative maintenance
